Goalkeeper Richmond Ayi has earned yet another silverware after his side beat Bechem United 2 – 1 in the finals of the 2022 MTN FA Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Ayi, who was part of the League triumph with the Phobians in 2021 made several key saves during the game to keep his side in the game.

The feat has put the agile goalie in a pole position for the top spot ahead of the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League, with his contract also set to run out with Hearts of Oak in December 2022.

Hearts of Oak will now represent Ghana in next season´s CAF Confederations Cup. They won the inaugural edition of the continental competition in 2004 beating bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in the final.
